oil paintings

Oil painting involves using pigments that use a medium of drying oil as the binder and painting with them on a canvas. The most common types of oil in oil paints are linseed oil, walnut oil, poppy seed oil, and safflower oil.

acrylic paintings

Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion and plasticizers, silicone oils, defoamers, stabilizers, or metal soaps. Most acrylic paints are water-based, but become water-resistant when dry.

Giclee prints follow these standards:

  • Inkjet Printer: Standard inkjet prints are made using dye-based inks. Giclees are made using pigment-based inks.

  • High Resolution and Color: They have the sharpest detail and highest resolution, displaying a full-color spectrum. Giclees capture every shade of an original work.

  • Archival Paper: The paper or surface used must be acid-free and of archival quality to ensure longevity.
